Plant Magic

Plants are very important to human life. Indeed, we depend on them directly and indirectly for our oxygen and to provide materials for food,clothing, shelter,medicines and even industrial products. Plants also add beauty to our lives as ornamental plants and cut flowers. More than we think, plants are integral to human culture, playing a large role in man's various traditions, superstitions and religious beliefs. Ironically, these aspects are sometimes more significant to how people lives, especially for those living in the more developed countries who have come to take food, clothing and shelter for granted. There are plants that are considered lucky and so are often cultivated in gradens for the good fortune they will bring their owners. And then there are plants tahat are deemend unlucky. There are also plants associated with the Devil or evil spirits and are to be avoided at all costs.Then again, there are plants that are believed to be protective, and these will be planted to repel evil spirits. Some plants are considered auspicious for the new year, Christmas or religious events.
